The Seckinger Pinot Rosé Sekt Extra Brut is an outstanding example of the artistry of the Seckinger winery.
In the glass, the sparkling wine presents a delicate, light salmon pink with the finest bubbles. The nose entices with aromas of raspberry, citrus fruits, almonds, and a subtle spice. Thanks to the long yeast aging, a delicate yeast pastry note also unfolds. On the palate, the sparkling wine presents a sharp acidity, harmoniously accompanied by a subtle creaminess and a light alcohol content.
The grapes for this sparkling wine come from the Deidesheim Petershöhle vineyard, a historic site known for its unique soil conditions and microclimate. Thanks to careful canopy management, ripe yet fresh Pinot grapes were harvested—ideal conditions for sparkling wine production.
After the harvest, the grapes were fermented spontaneously and aged in large wooden barrels without the addition of sulfur. In September 2019, the base wine was treated with liqueur de tirage and bottled to initiate the traditional second fermentation. After more than five years on the lees, disgorging took place in March 2025. A minimal dosage of 3 grams of sugar per liter was added.
