Petershöhle Deidesheim Riesling trocken - Garage Caveau - Organic
Sufficient stock! Ready to ship!
The Petershöhle is one of the higher and cooler sites around Deidesheim, partly secluded on the edge of the Palatinate Forest. The vineyards benefit from the altitude, cool air currents, and a special microclimate that favors freshness and precision. The soils are characterized by red sandstone and loess, which gives the wines a clear, stony minerality and a fine structure. Garage Caveau cultivates the parcels close to nature and with a strong focus on terroir expression.
On the nose, the Riesling is cool and reserved, with notes of citrus zest, green apple, and wet stone, accompanied by a subtle reduction. On the palate, it is taut, precise, and very linear. The acidity is lively but finely integrated, the minerality clear and salty, the overall impression puristic and focused. A Riesling that focuses less on opulence than on tension and clarity.
The grapes were selectively hand-picked, spontaneously fermented with vineyard-specific yeasts, and deliberately bottled without fining or filtration. The aging is kept restrained to reflect the origin and vintage unadulterated.
A characterful, cool Riesling with mineral grip and quiet depth – precise, honest, and with very good development potential.
