Paradiesgarten Riesling trocken - Garage Caveau - Organic
Hurry up! Only 5 in stock!
A cool, precise Riesling from one of Deidesheim's quietest yet most expressive sites. The Paradiesgarten owes its name to a historical female statue depicting Eve in paradise – a symbol of the special atmosphere of this elevated vineyard. The high altitude and close proximity to the Palatinate Forest ensure a cool microclimate, slow ripening, and distinct aromatic clarity.
The wine displays finely nuanced Riesling aromatics with citrus, green apple, white peach, and floral notes. A cool, herbaceous freshness and clear, stony minerality characterize the bouquet. The fruit remains restrained and precise, well-supported.
On the palate, the Paradiesgarten Riesling is taut, juicy, and focused. The acidity is lively but harmoniously integrated, the texture lean yet substantial. A fine salty line gives the wine tension and length. The finish is clear, cool, and mineral-driven.
The approximately 35-year-old vines grow in an elevated location with good ventilation and cool nights. The proximity to the forest protects against heat and preserves freshness, while the soils – characterized by sandy, stony, and slightly calcareous components – provide structure and transparency. The particular tranquility and charisma of the vineyard are clearly reflected in the character of the wine.
The grapes are selectively hand-picked and spontaneously fermented. The vinification is uncompromisingly puristic: unfined and unfiltered, without technical interventions. This keeps the wine unadulterated and showcases its origin and vintage in their purest form.
A clear, cool, and mineral Riesling that authentically brings the quiet power and independence of the Deidesheim Paradiesgarten into the glass.
