Königsbacher Ölberg Riesling Grosse Lage - Weingut Seckinger - Organic
Sufficient stock! Ready to ship!
The Königsbacher Ölberg is one of the striking sites in the northern Palatinate. The vineyards are located above Königsbach and are characterized by chalky soils with clay and loam components, which give the wines structure, tension, and a distinct minerality. The combination of high altitude, good sun exposure, and cool air currents from the Palatinate Forest ensures slow ripening and a clear, precise style.
On the nose, this riesling shows a cool, stony aroma with notes of citrus, lime, and green apple, accompanied by subtle herbal nuances and a slightly smoky minerality. On the palate, the wine is taut, salty, and focused, with lively acidity, dense structure, and a long, mineral-driven finish.
The grapes are selectively hand-picked and spontaneously fermented with natural yeasts. The wine is aged predominantly in large wooden barrels, which gives it additional structure and depth without losing its clear fruit. The result is an uncompromising Riesling with great tension and expression of its origin.
A precise, terroir-driven white wine with elegance and great development potential - powerful, mineral, and at the same time very clear in its style.
