The Kirchberg is one of the clearly lime-influenced sites in the Southern Palatinate and stands for Rieslings with cool precision and mineral depth. The vines root in limestone-rich soils, which give the wine its taut structure, salty tension and typical stony clarity. The terroir favors slow ripening and preserves freshness as well as aromatic finesse – ideal conditions for long-lived, focused Grosses Gewächs wines.
On the nose, the Riesling presents itself as pure and restrained, with elegant limestone minerality, cool freshness and bright, stony fruit. On the palate, it is assertive and precise, clearly focused on minerality, accompanied by fine saltiness and juicy tension. The structure is taut yet harmonious, the finish long, elegant and supported by mineral grip.
The grapes were selectively hand-picked, pressed as whole bunches, and spontaneously fermented in stainless steel with only slight pre-clarification. The deliberately purist winemaking process uncompromisingly emphasizes origin and soil, giving the wine clarity, energy, and great aging potential.
An uncompromisingly mineral Riesling with intensity, elegance, and depth – precisely structured, chalk-influenced, and designed for long development.
