Haardter Chardonnay Ortswein - Weingut Andres - Organic
Sufficient stock! Ready to ship!
A clear, mineral-driven Chardonnay with fresh fruit, fine reduction, and pronounced salinity. The nose reveals notes of pear, yellow melon, citrus, and a subtle nutty spice, accompanied by a hint of flint. On the palate, the wine is precise, juicy, and elegant, supported by mineral tension and well-integrated acidity.
The Haardter Chardonnay is spontaneously fermented with natural yeasts and then fully aged in used barriques. This preserves the clarity of the fruit and keeps the oak influence restrained, while emphasizing structure and depth.
The grapes come from the Haardter Herzog and Mandelring vineyards, both characterized by marl-limestone soils. This combination of a cool location on the edge of the Haardt and a limestone subsoil gives the wine its typical salinity, tension, and clear, straightforward style. With a yield of 45 hl/ha, the wine shows good concentration and precise aromatics.
A characterful village wine that perfectly reflects the typical Andres style – fresh, mineral, and precise.
