Oberstenfelder Forstberg Spätburgunder GG - VDP.Weingut Dautel
Sufficient stock! Ready to ship!
A Spätburgunder of impressive precision, depth, and finesse. The Oberstenfelder Forstberg presents itself in a clear ruby red and unfolds a complex, multi-layered bouquet of blackberry, ripe cherry, almonds, and fine herbal aromas, complemented by subtle ethereal and balsamic nuances. On the palate, the wine is powerful, silky, and precise, supported by fine-grained tannins, vibrant acidity, and mineral tension. Delicate roasted aromas and dark spice notes give it additional depth and expressiveness.
The grapes come from the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE® Forstberg in Oberstenfeld, where the vines thrive on calcareous and clayey Keuper soil with Muschelkalk inclusions – a terroir that gives this Pinot Noir its elegant structure and fine minerality. After a three-week maceration period, spontaneous fermentation occurred, and the wine was then aged in barriques. Bottling took place unfiltered under natural cork to preserve the authentic character of the site.
A Pinot Noir of international top quality that harmoniously combines power, clarity, and longevity.
