Our own certifications and memberships
EU Organic Certification:
Wein & Nielsen GmbH is certified as a retailer under EU organic regulations. This means we are authorised to trade and distribute organically produced wines. Organic control body: DE-ÖKO-039
Our storage and logistics partner Stepovino Logistik is also certified under EU organic regulations. Organic control body: DE-ÖKO-037
The organic certification therefore covers the entire storage and shipping of our wines.
We ship with UPS Carbon Neutral.
Sustainable Wine Roundtable:
Wein & Nielsen GmbH is proud to be a member of the Sustainable Wine Roundtable, the leading global platform for promoting sustainability and best practices in the wine industry. The Sustainable Wine Roundtable catalyses change by developing a research-based evidence base that drives clear action across the entire wine supply chain. With more than one hundred members covering the full wine value chain, the initiatives of the Sustainable Wine Roundtable go beyond incremental change. They aim to set new standards and foster a culture of sustainability that benefits all parts of the industry. The Sustainable Wine Roundtable enables wine businesses to work collaboratively on key issues, build an evidence base for action and create meaningful impact.

EU Organic Certification:
The following estates in our portfolio hold EU organic certification. Entries are verifiable via the official BioC database.
Wein- & Sektgut Barth, Weingut Andres, Garage Caveau, Weingut Mehling, Weingut Peter Stolleis, Weingut J. J. Berizzi, Weingut Dautel, Weingut Kranz, Weingut Seckinger, Weingut Solveigs, Weingut Stefan Meyer and Weingut Eppelmann.
Individual wines carrying organic certification are marked accordingly in the product title.
Demeter:
Garage Caveau and Weingut Stefan Meyer holds Demeter certification.
respekt-BIODYN:
Garage Caveau is a member of respekt-BIODYN.
Naturland:
Weingut Eppelmann is certified under Naturland guidelines.
Fair'n Green:
Weingut A. J. Adam is a member of Fair'n Green.
FairChoice:
Weingut Martin Schwarz and Weingut Böhme & Töchter are FairChoice certified.
Ecovin:
Wein & Sektgut Barth and Weingut Kranz are supporting members of the Ecovin association.
Country-specific packaging and recycling requirements
Finland:
In Finland, we are registered for Producer Responsibility and the national recycling programme at Sumi Oy. Our Finnish Business ID is: 3572719-7
