The grapes for this estate Riesling come from younger plots around Dhron by the Mosel, many of them in slightly higher-altitude vineyards. Here, cool winds from the Hunsrück shape the microclimate and ensure a slow ripening process, preserving freshness and precision in the wine. The combination of altitude and classic Mosel terroir produces a clear, invigorating style.
On the nose, the Riesling is fresh and clear, with delicate citrus fruit, green apple, and a subtle, stony minerality. On the palate, it is light-footed and lively, with moderate alcohol, juicy fruit, and a dancing, typically Mosel-style acidity. The structure is lean, precise, and very approachable, with a fresh and invigorating finish.
The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel to preserve its freshness and authentic expression of origin. The aging process remains deliberately puristic and minimalist, resulting in a clear, honest Riesling.
A straightforward, enjoyable Mosel Riesling with lightness and mineral freshness – uncomplicated, precise, and highly drinkable.
