The Deidesheimer Paradiesgarten is located directly on the edge of the forest below the Palatinate Forest and is one of the most atmospherically impressive sites in the region. The slope benefits from warm air currents in the afternoon, while its proximity to the forest provides earlier cooling in the evening. The soils of red and yellow sandstone characterize the wine with mineral tension and fine salinity, while the site also protects against extreme weather caprices.
On the nose, white peach combines with hints of Fleur-de-Sel, accompanied by cool stone minerality and floral nuances. On the palate, the Riesling is juicy, multi-layered and precise, supported by a lively, well-integrated acidity. The fruit remains clear and elegant, while mineral depth and subtle salinity provide length and tension.
The grapes were selectively hand-picked in two passes in mid-September, spontaneously fermented with vineyard-specific yeasts, and aged on the full lees for a long time. This gives the wine structure, calmness, and remarkable complexity.
A harmonious, dreamy Riesling with depth, balancing fruit and minerality and impressively reflecting the special flair of the Paradiesgarten.
