The Kieselberg in Deidesheim (Pfalz) is characterized by a complex limestone weathered soil, complemented by Rhine pebbles and red sandstone. This combination gives the Riesling its cool, stony character and at the same time aromatic depth. The organically cultivated vines here produce filigree, vibrant wines with a clear origin.
The Riesling presents itself as precise and lively, with hints of cool stone, green notes and a delicate fruitiness reminiscent of nettle and apricot. On the palate, it convinces with an animating play of sweetness and acidity, juicy fruit and a powerful, dancing finish that combines lightness and structure.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously with natural yeasts. The aging process is deliberately understated to preserve freshness, fruit clarity, and the mineral character of the site. At 12% alcohol, the wine remains elegant and accessible, yet it also shows high aging potential of up to 10–15 years.
A finely drawn, lively Riesling that harmoniously combines origin, drinkability, and depth.
