The Zscheiplitz Weissburgunder Ortswein trocken originates from the Zscheiplitz locality in the Saale-Unstrut region, an area with a long tradition of winemaking. The vineyards are situated on soils with shell limestone and weathered lime components, which drive freshness, clear minerality, and a cool, elegant style to the wines. This Ortswein (regional wine) from Böhme & Töchter authentically brings the essence of these vineyards to the glass and impressively reflects the northern German character of Saale-Unstrut.
On the nose, the Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) presents delicate fruit aromas of subtle, light pear and mirabelle plum, underpinned by tart, herbal notes. On the palate, it offers a firm texture, fresh, chalky minerality, and elegant Burgundy fruit supported by quince and yellow apple nuances. The lively acidity and saline minerality give the wine clarity and tension, while the dry style precisely structures the fruit.
The wine is vinified in a classic dry style, and spontaneous fermentation emphasizes its freshness and authenticity. With very low residual sugar, it displays a clear, straightforward style – typical of a high-quality regional wine from Saale-Unstrut.
A fresh, mineral-driven Pinot Blanc that delights with its clear structure, elegant fruit, and lively acidity – a classic regional wine that harmoniously combines origin, freshness, and Burgundy finesse.
