Rhodter Klosterpfad Weissburgunder - Weingut J.J. Berizzi
Hurry up! Only 4 in stock!
An elegant, tension-filled Pinot Blanc with great finesse and a clear sense of origin. The wine combines restraint, structure, and length into a balanced, precise overall expression.
On the nose, flinty notes and delicate pear emerge, accompanied by a fine hint of reduction. On the palate, a harmonious interplay unfolds between subtle oak influence and a long, juicy structure. Delicate nutty nuances, fine grip, and a precise, lingering finish lend the wine elegance and depth. The acidity is lively yet smoothly integrated, supporting its clear, linear profile.
The Rhodter Klosterpfad vineyard lies between Edenkoben and Rhodt and is characterized by red sandstone rich in iron. These light, well-drained soils differ significantly from the heavier sites around Edenkoben, giving the Pinot Blanc lightness, finesse, and precise structure. Although the vineyard may appear unassuming, it offers ideal conditions for elegant Burgundy-style wines.
The grapes were harvested ripe and selectively by hand, gently pressed after a short period of skin contact, and processed very turbid without prior clarification. Spontaneous fermentation in three barriques imparts structure and depth without compromising clarity.
A finely built, elegant Pinot Blanc with grip and length that beautifully reflects the lightness of the Klosterpfad.
