Häs'chen Grosses Gewächs riesling trocken - VDP.Weingut A.J. Adam
Sufficient stock! Ready to ship!
A finely structured, cool Riesling of great precision from one of the smallest great Moselle vineyards. The Häs’chen stands for finesse, tension, and a particularly clear expression of origin.
On the nose, the wine is reserved and focused, with citrus notes, light stone fruit, and delicate herbal nuances, accompanied by a subtle smoky impression. The aroma is cool, clear, and precise.
On the palate, the Riesling presents itself as taut, straightforward, and precise. A lively, finely drawn acidity carries the wine, while the salty minerality provides depth and pull. The finish is long, calm, and minerally focused.
The grapes come from the VDP.GROSSEN LAGE® Dhroner Häs’chen, a monopole site of only 2,677 m², solely owned by the winery. The ungrafted vines from the 1930s grow on gray slate with quartzite components in steep terraces with a cool eastern exposure – ideal conditions for finesse, freshness, and slow ripening.
After selective hand harvesting and a yield of 35 hl/ha, the grapes were pressed as whole clusters, spontaneously fermented, and aged in 500-liter half-fuders made of old wood. Bottling took place after about eight months of aging on the lees under natural cork.
A filigree, deeply mineral Riesling with great calm and precision, impressively reflecting the uniqueness of this tiny site.
