The Deidesheimer Leinhöhle is located entirely on the south-facing slope and benefits from long, intense hours of sunshine. The loamy soils store heat and give the Riesling its soft texture, depth, and distinctly individual character. The result is dense yet harmonious wines with a moderate acid structure.
On the nose, it reveals a finely interwoven aroma of lemongrass, lime, and lychee, complemented by fresh, green notes reminiscent of freshly cut grass. On the palate, the wine appears round, soft, and balanced, with citrus freshness, subtle herbal spice, and an elegant finish of hazelnut and pink grapefruit. The acidity remains present but is always finely integrated.
This Riesling impresses with its depth, complexity, and gentle structure, which makes it particularly approachable – even for those sensitive to acidity. The combination of its sunny location, loamy soil, and careful development gives it tranquility, balance, and long-term aging potential.
An expressive, multifaceted Riesling that remarkably combines freshness and softness.
