The Arzheimer Klingenwingert vineyard is located on the eastern slope of the Ilbesheimer Kalmit and slopes gently towards Landau. The site benefits from abundant morning sun and early warming, which promotes even ripening. The deep loess-loam soil with very high lime content and good water retention capacity is considered an ideal basis for Burgundy wines. It gives the wine richness and fullness, while preserving elegance, freshness, and a clear mineral character.
On the nose, the Pinot Blanc is bright and delicate, with hints of citrus peel, blossom honey, and a chalky, salty minerality. On the palate, it is elegant and balanced, with a fine creaminess from long lees aging, lively freshness, and clear structure. Not opulent, but precise and fresh, supported by a chalky tension and subtle depth.
The grapes were selectively hand-picked, gently crushed, and directly pressed. Spontaneous fermentation took place in used barriques with minimal pre-clarification, which gives the wine texture and calm without masking its origin.
An elegant, mineral Pinot Blanc with balance, fine richness, and very good aging potential – stylish, clear, and terroir-driven.
