9294 Blanc de Blanc brut - Weingut Andres
Sufficient stock! Ready to ship!
The 9294 Blanc de Blancs displays a cool, clear Chardonnay character with citrus freshness, green apple, a delicate yeast note, and subtle brioche nuances. The perlage is fine and creamy, supported by lively acidity and elegant mineral tension. This sparkling wine appears both straightforward and complex, with good depth and balanced pressure on the palate.
The grapes come from vineyards with loess and weathered variegated sandstone around Deidesheim. The first fermentation occurs spontaneously in large wooden barrels, which gives the base wine structure and texture. After the traditional second fermentation in the bottle, the sparkling wine ages for three years on the lees, which shapes its creaminess, finesse, and aromatic complexity.
The name "9294" refers to the birth years of brothers Michael and Thomas Andres. The sparkling wine combines Chardonnay typicity with the mineral profile of the Palatinate Mittelhaardt: fresh, precise, clearly structured, and with a fine length. The low yields of 65 hl/ha support concentration and structure, while the lime-influenced terroir emphasizes the salty, taut component.
