The parcel Im Hieberg is located in a south-facing, sheltered, warm and ideally ventilated basin. The soil consists of deep calcareous marl with approx. 30% active limestone, part of the former limestone reef of the Mainz Basin. This highly mineral terroir shapes the wine with salty length, density, herbal spice and clear structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1697\" data-end=\"1954\"\u003eChardonnays from the Blume are considered particularly rich and complex; precise harvesting is crucial, as the site brings a lot of power in warm years.
